Design an interface for tracking home appliance repair orders. The interface should allow users to manage their repair orders easily and view status updates across different devices (desktop and mobile).
Disclaimer: this is not a real-life project. The designs here were built for a design challenge part of an interview with a company with a similar story but for car repair. The time allowed to complete these designs was limited and the requirements were to focus on the UI, the company style guide, build components, and build responsive designs.
Users
Repair technicians
Technicians work through a daily task list, traveling from house to house to repair home appliances. It is difficult for them to keep track of work while moving around.
The need
Task tracking tool
They require a queue of these tasks to show where they need to go, and what they need to fix. Technicians need to be able to view the details about the repair, take notes, manage their repair tasks, contact their clients, and get directions to the location of the repair.
The solution
PowerUp platform
A home appliance repair management platform where technicians could manage their repair orders easily and view status updates across different devices.
